SAS = Valuable Career Skill NOW

Check out Money’s recent article about “The 21 Most Valuable Career Skills Now“.  At the top of the list is SAS software. The Western Users of SAS Software 2016 Educational Forum and Conference, Sept. 7-9 in San Francisco, offers excellent opportunities to gain and sharpen SAS skills. Don’t miss it!

Stanford WIDS 2015

Unfortunately, I couldn’t get a ticket to the Stanford WIDS conference on Nov.2. However, I watched as much of the streamed event as I could. Lots of good presentations. One I especially enjoyed was “Cyber Security Research: A Data Scientist’s Perspective” by Celeste Matarazzo, a data science expert with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.  See also her powerpoint “Architecture of Secure Systems Research Considerations“.

WordCamp Sacramento 2015

Looking forward to WordCamp Sacramento 2015! Great speakers and topics! Tickets sold out in less than 3 hours. Fortunately, all of WordCamp will be video recorded and will be available on in the future.

Congratulations to Brian Bahmanyar, Best Contributed Paper Winner at WUSS2015 in the Data Management/Data Science category for his paper “Leveraging APIs in SAS to Create Interactive Visualizations“!
